Even though my feelings were hurt.. Darn cliffhangers lol.. Anyways this book was good from the beginning til end.. You have to love some type of magic to keep things balance like good or evil but you always have at least one or two people who become greedy with power and don't know how to use it.. Some always see the light before its too late.. Rejection is hurtful and someone would do anything to make themselves happy but it always come with price. I can't wait for part two .. I have read everything she has put out and I havent been disappointed..!!!!! So absolutely rock!!!!!! Feelings still hurt but you are awesome. So everyone who love paranormals stories or battle of good and evil in new Orleans voodoo is real!!!!!Product details

I enjoyed this book, but it had a lot going on. There were times when I got confused because the transitions from one thing to another were not smooth. I also think it would have been better if the heroine was older than 16, especially since Pharoah was older....in his 20's I believe. Aside from those things, the book was cool. I am sure there is more drama to come in part 2. I was really rooting from Trey, but since he showed out, I am team Pharoah, but that might change. Looking forward to part 2.
This story was so good I didnt know who to root for in the beginning but, then I saw how much Pharoah really love Robyn and Tre only got greedy and wanted to use his powers for darkness instead of good. I was so amaze by the story and the events that took place I hardly wanted to put my book down and when I got to the end I almost had an heart attack because I needed more. I swear I wish it was a stand alone but, I will definitely be looking for part 2 soon.
Overall I enjoyed this book. From the start I found myself rooting for Pharaoh, even though he was the bad guy. I loved the idea of him getting what he wanted, even if Robyn didn't want him. I found it strange that she had never laid eyes on him, but when I found out why it all made perfect sense. I hate that things turned out the way they did with Trey. Like I said, I was rooting for Pharaoh, so I didn't want Trey to win, but the way things turned out . . . smh.
I liked that Robyn was able t put aside her own misgivings and offer help when it was needed. She didn't care that she had no love for the person in need. She just saw a person needing help and she was there. I also liked that her cousin was able to overlook her own jealousy of Robyn and be the person she was expected to be. Family meant a lot to these girls and it showed within the book.
I'm on the fence about the ending. It wasn't quite a cliffhanger, but it's obvious there's a book two coming. I'm looking forward to reading it, as well as other books by this author.
I knew it would be a great read and it was. You can't be a interracial paranormal romance ever!!! Can't wait for the next installment.
I love these types of stories,makes wish it were true.
That's the lesson in this story. Pharoah had to learn this lesson big time. So did Trey who got hungry for power. Robyn was so angry about the arrangement for her life, she could not see that she was the balance to Pharoah's darkness. They both had to learn that love is more powerful that magic and power.
This was a different story for me to read. I personally am not fond of paranormal stories and just wanted to give this one a try. What I can say is the I HATE CLIFF HANGERS!!!!!!
I wasn’t necessarily expecting the twists and turns but it was surprisingly good. The only thing i don’t like is that it felt like the book went too fast...like it was rushed. But overall I loved it. Great work.
